On the patient card, the Reports to GP tab lets you create a report on physiotherapy care for the patient’s general practitioner. The report is a medical record: it is signed, versioned, time-stamped and can be verified with “Verify integrity” like a visit record.
Patient consent
A report can be sent or handed over only with the patient’s consent to sending the report to the GP. Record the consent on the card (signature on site or on paper) with Record consent; the patient can also give or withdraw it in the patient account. The consent text is a versioned clinic document. Withdrawing consent immediately revokes links for the doctor that are still valid. Without consent, sending is blocked and the screen says so.
Creating and signing
New report to the GP offers the episodes of care. The draft is prefilled from signed records: diagnoses (ICD-10), reason for care and initial findings from the first record, course of therapy by visit, recommendations from the last record, outcome from the summary of a closed episode, the number of attended visits and the period. Check the text, complete the Outcome of therapy and sign the report. A signed version never changes – a correction creates a new version with a reason, and a wrong report can be voided.
After signing, the report joins a time-stamp batch and then a PDF is created with the clinic logo, signature details, the version fingerprint and the time stamp. The fingerprint of the PDF is sealed by the provider. You can send the report once the PDF is ready.
Sending to the doctor
- E-mail to the doctor – the doctor gets an e-mail with a link only, without the patient’s name or any health data. The report opens only with a code sent by text message to the phone in the contact, or given by you by phone (you see the code only once, right after sending). The link is valid for 3–30 days and you can revoke it at any time; it locks after five wrong codes.
- Download the PDF to hand over – records the hand-over on the card and downloads the PDF for printing.
The general practitioner’s contact (e-mail, phone) is on the card’s Details tab. For each sending you see the delivery status and the doctor’s access (link opened, wrong and correct code, report viewed, PDF downloaded). Sending is audited and shown on the card timeline.
Who can do what
- Owner and admin create, sign (their own) and send reports.
- A therapist creates and sends reports for their own patients (the patient has an appointment with them or they are the episode’s primary therapist); the author signs.
- Reception may send an already signed report only if the owner allows it in Settings → Record templates; it never sees the content.
- The accountant does not see reports.
Sharing with the patient
You can also share a signed report to the patient account (Share with the patient in the account) – see Patient account.
